: Hey. I was wondering if Hatshepsut really was the only female pharaoh? Or were there others?

Hi Anna.
I'm pretty sure she was the only female Pharaoh. Of course there were zillions of Queens who reigned without a husband Pharaoh - but they all called themselves women. They never went as far a Hatshepsut, who wore the false beard of kingship and wore the male crowns and all that. The other alone Queens called themselves Queen.
But then again, I may be wrong, though she must have been a VERY obscure Queen for me not to have heard of her.
