I am doing an assignment on ancient near east. Here is the question:
The reign of queen hatshepsut of the eighteenth dynasty of ancient egypt has been an uncomfortable area of study for some historians of her rule. Perhaps many of her contemporaries also felt some discomfort under her rule.
Why do you think this may have occured? WHat aspects of her reign were contraversial?
